Rui Yan Ma

My name is Rui Yan Ma, and I am a graduate student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University. I started working in the transportation industry as a transit management analyst for the Department of Subway at MTA New York City Transit, where I supported the Electric Divisions to enhance their maintenance planning by conducting labor cost analysis and forecasting. I then joined JetBlue as a revenue management analyst, where I optimized the revenue data reporting system, developed revenue forecast models, and, more recently, analyzed the impact of COVID-19 on customer booking behaviors. I received my BA in Mathematics and Physics from CUNY Queens College and MA in Mathematics from CUNY The Graduate Center.
