Dr. Xiaoyu Ma

Dr. Xiaoyu Ma was a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Before joining MAC, she received her PhD in Transportation Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She has since joined The Pennsylvania State University as a Research Assistant Professor.

Her research focused on network modeling using data and emerging technologies to achieve system-level goals.

Research interests

Travel behavior modeling and simulation, network modeling for multi-modal transportation systems, and applications of machine learning and reinforcement learning.
